Violet Elsie May Alden- My maternal Grandmother

My Grandmother; the woman, for whom George Albert Richards,my Grandfather [The Riddle] wrote the riddle, to win, as his wife.
My Grandma was the role model around whom I shaped my life. She was always ready to listen to me and would most often put aside whatever she was doing to spend quality time with her friends and family. I found this a novelty because my Mum was very busy as a farmers wife and rarely had time to sit and chat with us.
Violet Elsie May outlived my granddad by twenty years and was in her nineties when she died.

Matildah Maud Moller- My Paternal Grandmother

This was my entry for the Let's Get Shabby Challenge 4 which earned an Honourable Mention

Mothers in Training

The photo is of my sister and me. I always knew I was meant to be a mother. When my little ones grew and flew I became a day care mum.

Genesis

I rescued this photo of my Dad aged 3 months It was torn in half but I stuck it together with sticky tape and scanned it into my computer. Then I restored it to it's former glory. I called it Genesis because he was the beginning of our family as I knew it. I have had the page framed because it wasn't really suitable for an album.

Dorothy May 1952

The photo is of my younger sister. This is one of my earlier pages before I really started to distress
